Ranch Introduction

"축산은 지구의 미래를 지켜내는 ‘가치 있는 산업’이라고 생각합니다."

Born the son of a farmer, I naturally chose the path of agriculture. It was such a natural and enjoyable choice for me that farming consistently ranked highest on aptitude tests throughout middle and high school. And I'm truly grateful that I'm still involved in farming today.

Livestock farming is often misunderstood as a stinky industry today. However, I believe it is a valuable industry that solves humanity's food problems and simultaneously safeguards the future of the planet. I believe it must evolve beyond simply producing food into a "land-saving movement" through sustainable agriculture. Passing down farmland to the next generation without damaging it, and even passing that philosophy along—that's why I continue this work.

I started out as a veterinarian treating cattle, but now I've been producing organic milk for 12 years. Organic isn't just about avoiding chemicals. It's about making a choice for a "sustainable planet." Feeding cows organically grown grass and recycling compost to revitalize the soil—this entire process is both a philosophy and a movement.

"농업은 땅을 지키고, 생명을 돌보고, 미래를 준비하는 데서 시작된다고 믿습니다."

What I do isn't simply producing milk. I consider it "agriculture" itself. And I believe the greatest value of agriculture lies in its sustainability, particularly in the land itself. Removing carbon from the atmosphere is crucial, but we can further mitigate the rise in global temperatures only by locking it in the soil. Agriculture is the best way to do this, and livestock farming is at the heart of it. We create quality compost, return it to the soil, and raise cattle on the regrown pasture. This cyclical structure is the true power of agriculture.

Of course, I didn't start out with this philosophy. At first, I simply wanted to achieve good results and achieve financial success. However, as I spent time in agriculture, I realized more and more that this industry requires a philosophy. I believe agriculture requires a sense of mission, and that begins with protecting the land, caring for life, and preparing for the future.

Even at this very moment, I'm constantly changing. But one thing is certain: I fervently hope that this ranch will not be the end of my journey, but rather the starting point of sustainable agriculture for future generations.

thank you
